Two Dashes of Glam | Christmas Makeup

CC 2.0 EyeHeartYew by Tirzah
Can you believe that next weekend it's already Christmas? I sure as hell cannot! It does not feel like Christmas at all. Maybe because my mind is focused on school and life, and that it has not snowed so far... instead the weather has been very agreeable. All in all, I cannot complain! Anywho, the time has come to start thinking about makeup looks for Christmas and that's where the Two Dashes of Glam challenge comes in! Melissa, from kissandmakeupsbeautyblog, and I decided to work with the Christmas Makeup Colors this year...

When I think of Christmas I think of green, red, and golden. I normally don't wear the obvious Christmas colors in my makeup on the day itself, but it definitely is a nice way to play with colors you may not usually wear. Though the aforementioned colors are all colors I would normally wear too, ha! Just not on Christmas... am I making any sense?! Anywho, I decided to go for golden eyes with a slight hint of red-brown in my crease, a green pop to match my hair, red lips and a sparkling (fake) diamond...

A quick walkthrough of what I am wearing: "Half Baked" all over my lid from the Naked 1 eyeshadow palette by Urban Decay, which is combined with matte browns from that palette and "Red Ochre" from the ABH Modern Renaissance palette. On my lower lash line I am wearing "Kush" and "Loaded" from the Urban Decay eyeshadow palette Book of Shadows Vol 3. Then there's the gorgeous "Rock Steady" from the Vice collection by Urban Decay on the lips. What? I love Urban Decay, ok?! My trustworthy Sephora Liquid Eye Liner is on my lids, and Essence Lash Princess on my upper eye lashes. To top it off I added body/diamond jewelry from Claire's above my lip to fake a Medusa piercing (I think they are gorgeous!!), since I am allowed to sparkle a bit more than usual around Christmas, right?!

Melissa also went for the traditional Christmas colors, and though her look is slightly similar, it is also very different! Check it out here, and tell us what you think! If you are looking for more beauty inspiration for the holidays, then be sure to check out some older Christmas looks (4 in total) and even NYE's looks (3 in total) that I have made! In case I don't talk to you before Xmas, I wish you a wonderful and very merry time! Happy holidays everyone

  1. It is always fun to see how different similar colors look on different complexions. And I really like your fake bling. All the sparkles for this time of year!
