Two Dashes of Glam | Halloween: Gender Bending Joker

The Joker by Shaxho
It's my favorite time of the year again, well no. Scratch that. I don't particularly care for October or Fall (except for Sweater Weather), but I do abso-freaking-lutely love Halloween! And each year I look forward to a fun (spooky?) party with good friends. This year is not going to be any different, so the gorgeous Melissa (from KissandMakeupsBeautyBlog) and I had to come up with a new look for our Two Dashes of Glam challenge. I went for a Gender Bending Joker!

How did I come up with the Joker? Well, let me tell you. I thought to myself "I have green hair... so I might as well go for the Joker!", and so a new Halloween look was born. That was all there was to it. I'm just that simple. However, having green hair wasn't everything. Over the years there have been many portrayals of the Joker and so I went online to look at the comics. To look at what I like the most.

The cover photo was my inspiration and I drew my lips out creating a creepy smile like I had seen many times before. I don't have any white powder, so I just dabbed a matte white eyeshadow all over my face excluding my eye-area. The eyes I heavily coated with "Perversion", a matte black eyeshadow, and "Psychedelic Sister", a dark purple eyeshadow, from my Urban Decay Book of Shadows Vol 3 palette. You can barely see the dark purple, because of my crazy eyes and dramatic Eylure lashes! There's some "Rockstar" in the inner-V, though. The red lipstick was applied with my waaaaaay too shiny Lolita Lempicka Mon Rouge lipstick. A little highlighter here and there, and that was that.

On Halloween I might just make my eyebrows green... I might just make all of my hair green... and I might just create smudged red lips instead of these ones. I haven't decided yet. Help a girl out! What changes should I make to this look?!

Wait, hold up!

Before you answer that... Check out Melissa's look! This Halloween she is stitching up her mouth. Yikes. That will probably look painful. 3. I haven't decided yet as what I will dress up. But I am not going to dye my hair green. That is certain.
I think smudged lipstick would add to the look, just for that extra madness.

    1. Haha, that seems reasonable! If you want a different color though.. you can also by colored hair spray! It just washes out. Yes! I think I'm going to try that. Thanks :D

  4. I'm loving your take on The Joker! Well done! While I love your version, I kind of wonder what the smudge lip might look like? I also like the hair like that. It's badass. :)
