With Christmas coming closer and closer, it really is time to start putting together your Christmas wish list! After sharing last year's wish list with you all, I figured I might do it again this year and turn it into a gift guide for her (although there are a couple of items in there that can be given to both men and women). So if you are looking for some inspiration, be sure to read ahead.
I think I collect bags. Yes, I am not too sure. I own a lot of them, but I tend to only wear one bag for daily use and then change it up with two or three bags for school. I am usually leaving my house in a rush (though I hate rushing) so I just grab my bag-for-daily-use without thinking about it. Nevertheless, I do love bags. I am also loving this faux leather satchel by Forever 21: it looks classy and stylish, but could work for several occasions (school, work, fun, etc). This is a great and not too expensive gift (€31) to give someone!
When I went shopping for my new winter jacket, I walked into River Island. A store I usually stroll by, because it is slightly outside of my student budget. This time, however, I ventured inside. On the look out for something I liked and could afford. I came across these stunningly beautiful, embellished shoulder harnesses that are totally not wearable for me (when would I ever wear this? I mean, seriously?!) but the intense prettiness of the items made me want to own it... just in case I ever go to a ball, or some other formal party, and I could wear this with that strapless dress I don't own. Then I looked at the price (€60) and I sobered up. That dream did not last long, ha. Nevertheless, I still secretly kind of, sorta, want it.. so who knows. It was worth a mention! Definitely a unique gift :-)
I should stay away from high heels, but rather than staying away from it, I have moved on to block heels instead. They are more wearable than the thin heels that pumps have. This is a good compromise for now, right? I could not really give up on heels! These pretty Mary-Jane inspired camel block heels sure would look great on any woman's feet! Currently there is a discount going on and you can buy/gift this baby for only €15!
I love warm and fluffy items during the winter season and I am surely not the only one! So giving someone a cute and fluffy snowflake robe set for Christmas would definitely be successful. This set comes with a soft long-sleeved robe (including a self-tie belt and pockets) and a pair of matching slippers! Or if you are more like me.. then slippers aren't enough during the winter months and you want something warmer, something fluffier, and something cuter: knitted slippers/bootees! Those also keep your ankles warm! The ones shown above are by Lola Liza for €13. Or how about some extra sleep? You can achieve that with this cute sleeping mask of a teddy! Or you can buy one with a kitten! There are all kinds of cute designs.
Long and ladylike suede gloves are always a fun thing to give. Something someone will always need. Go for something other than brown, grey or black, because that way you can match different gloves with different outfits/jackets!
A while ago I got a Cointreau Party Set and I really loved it! Not only did it contain a Cointreau bottle, but it also had four glasses (as shown in the photo above) and a little recipe book! You can immediately start playing around and stay warm a different way during the cold winter months (well, not every day, hm?!). I should get myself a new bottle, so I can make Cosmopolitan's again (for my guests, of course!!).
Yes, yes. There is more. I have been writing a bit about television series and shows that I think are worth watching, well I have not mentioned Hannibal yet (coming soon), but it has quickly become one of my favorite series! Now that it has ended I would like to own all seasons on DVD or Bluray. If you have a friend or family member who does not mind horror and psychological mind fucks, then you could just surprise them with Hannibal the Cannibal! Yikes.
Rather than asking for expensive makeup this year, I am asking for makeup tools ha. I could use some more brushes, both for my face and eyes, so I think a little birdie told my parents that I would be interested in receiving the Real Techniques Brush Sets: 4 brushes for your face or five brushes for the eyes (€30 per set).
During the Press Days SS16 I discovered the Remington CI8725 Protect Curler. I had my hair done with it. I read some reviews online. I've come to a decision that I would like to have it. This would be my first hair curler! It also is a nice gift to give to others, because it is not the most expensive curler, but it very good to your hair.
I have been thinking about how to monitor how much I walk or move around for quite some time now. After having looked at different devices I came to the conclusion that I would like to try using the UP2 Jawbone Activity Tracker. Besides tracking your movement, it offers a bunch of others things (for more info click here).. so yeah, this one is high on my list :-) Not only I want it, but so does the boyfriend! So this makes a great -albeit expensive- gift to give to others!
If you are looking for something a little less expensive, then these makeup sponges might be a good idea. You can buy all kinds of variants with varying prices. I myself have wish listed the makeup sponges offered by BornPrettyStore, because they are freaking cheap ($1.69) and that way I can give them a first try. See if it is worth getting more expensive -and quite possibly better- sponges afterwards. Another makeup product found on this webshop that caught my attention from day one, were these lip glosses ($2). I look forward to trying those out too! A good alternative to the more expensive gifts, yes?
Well, that is my wish list and gift guide for 2015. I tried to pick things that are not very typical this time. It feels like quite a random list: there is a gadget in there, some beauty tools, loads of accessories, and entertainment in the form of a brilliant tv-series and alcohol. Well, it is starting to feel like Christmas already haha. Happy Shopping! What are you excited about this Christmas? See anything good in this post? And what is high on your wish list?!
