Two Dashes of Glam is back! It has been a while, but both Melissa and I have been very busy with so many things that we decided to take a quick break until now... we are back with a new theme appropriate for October: Makeup for Halloween! My look this year is quite simple, go take a look!
This year I am not actually attending or hosting a Halloween party, but I will be attending a Murder Mystery Party! Saaayyy what? You know, like in "Clue", the board game, in which someone amidst the players is murdered and the players have to find out who the murderer is! Tun dun dun. This murder party has a fairy tale theme and roles were assigned! I was given the role/character of Tinker Bell! Now I do like dressing up and pretending to be a different character (I mean, just on Halloween), but I tend to not go all out with my outfit or hair (I doubt a blonde wig would look great on me). Instead I play around with accessories and makeup more!
That is why I wanted to incorporate the typical colors of Tinker Bell in my makeup: green, yellow, and some glitter. I tried to keep it simple and subtle (if the latter is possible with glitter), because Tink herself has a fresh face, so I didn't want to go overboard with such bright colors. I applied #52 from my 100 piece Marble Eyeshadow Palette by ELF all over my eye lid and in my crease. Then I applied yellow from my Paradise Eyeshadow Quad by BEmakeup in my inner-V and the middle of my lid, and blended both shades together. Instead of wearing my usual black eyeliner I opted for the Aqua Liner by MUFE in green. This one has a bit of a shimmer to it, but not enough sparkles so I added some yellow sparkles subtly on top of (so above) the eyeliner. It is way more eyecatching in real life than on photo, so despite being subtle it is still quite noticeable. I dabbed a hint of orange on my lips and added my Urban Decay Naked lip gloss in "Streak" over it. That was all. Nothing more. Now I know this beauty look doesn't automatically scream TINKER BELL, but it will work nicely with the rest of my look and that is what I was going for :D now if only I could find me some wings!
Before you tell me what you think of the look, go check out Melissa's Halloween look! She really went for it this Halloween and let herself be inspired by Japanese horror! That sounds thrilling! Maybe next year I will go for something scary too?! Or Harry Potter-themed! What do you think of our beauty looks for Halloween 2015? And what/who are you dressing up as?!
