During my three-week trip in the Netherlands I actually managed to take pictures of one outfit that I wore. Honestly, my regular go-to outfit were these really big (I mean XXXXXXXL) lounge pants for men and a comfy shirt. Perhaps a bathrobe as well if I was cold. I'm fashionable like that. Anywho, every now and then I ventured outside for a yummy coffee or to not be an entirely anti-social person.
It was still quite sunny outside, but the lovely Indian summer weather (it took me forever to understand what the hell an indian summer is... apparently it is late summer weather around September - I learn something new everyday) leaves you wondering whether you should or should not take that jacket with you. After having grown up in the Netherlands... I've come to realize that one should always take a jacket with you (and perhaps a scarf if you get cold easily).
My sister and I went to Amsterdam to check out the pop-up Polette store and try out some yummy food. Whenever I am in Amsterdam I feel quite nostalgic, because it takes me back to when I was 17 and attended a concert every biweekly weekend. Oh, the memories. I'll spare you! I wore my new grey jeans from Primark and combined this with my new green sweater from -you can guess it- also Primark! It is quite a thin vest, so I figured I needed a jacket! I had only taken my black coat with me, so I tried on my mom's green jacket and it fitted. An upside to gaining weight: I now fit more of my mom's clothes. Hmm, is that really an upside, though?! I wore my pretty striped black and white shirt, but I feel like this has become too small for me (notice the boobies. Funny story: the top button actually popped open just as I got out of the train. Yup. That was fun). So this is the last time I am wearing it for now, anyways. With my good-ole trustworthy low converse on and my brand new Polette eyewear I was ready to face the day.

I tend to complain about any kind of weather (though my favorite definitely is spring), because it is always too hot, too cold, or both at the same time. The Indian summer definitely is both at the same time for me. I get all hot from the sun and warmish temperature, but cold when walking in the shadows and with wind coming from everywhere. At least this was an outfit that helps me with falling for Fall! I am already looking forward to wearing more sweaters and scarves! I am on the look out for colorful scarves. Have you seen a good one? I am also trying to wear more comfy and warm sweaters before layering it with a jacket... let's hope I don't get sick! Are you falling for fall too?
