I'm sure that by now you know that I like makeup and bath products by Yves Rocher! When I noticed the Radiant Lip Crayon collection I just knew I had to try them. Normally I tend to go for bright and colorful shades, but this time I stayed closer to my own skin color. Time to try some nudes!
Like most of the Yves Rocher products, the Radiant Lip Crayons are inspired by nature. The crayons give off a shiny texture and moisturize your lips. They come in regular crayons with simple white writing. I like the appearance. It is clean and simple. The two lip products I have are called: "Beige Nacré" (beige pearl) and "Sable Doré" (golden sand).
In the close up and on the swatches, you can clearly see that there are shiny (or even glittery) pearls in the crayons that give off such a high-shine, it immediately catches the light. Beige Nacré does not look very beige on me, but more golden. I am not sure how I feel about extremely shiny golden lips... but it might be interesting! Sable Doré is more brown than golden and it has a silvery shine to it. With one layer you get a decent amount of color on your skin, but it still is pretty sheer. If you build the lip product, the shade becomes deeper and shines even brighter. So despite me going for more nude-like colors, I still ended up with bright shades!
The Radiant Lip Crayons apply quite easily to the lips, because they are very smooth. I have to layer the golden lip product quite a bit to ensure you see the color properly. The brown one is closer to the natural color of my lips, so that one takes less layering. It would be interesting to combine the two shades for an ombre effect with the golden inside and brown outside. What do you think?
I combined the nude lips with a more colorful eye look. I still think golden lips look a bit odd on me, but I am pretty intrigued by the shade, so I will have fun playing around with Beige Nacré! Now Sable Doré I really like. It is a shade would perfectly for simple everyday looks, but the high shine would still add something special to the overall feeling of the look. The high shine borders on being glittery and the Radiant Lip Crayons by Yves Rocher feel very smooth on the lips. They are an easy-to-wear lip product. However, they will not last all day. At most you can get a couple of good hours, but I expected as much from smooth-textured lip crayons, so I definitely do not mind. The Radiant Lip Crayons usually cost €13,90 but right now there is a discount going on the site! You can get these products for €8,95! What do you think of the Radiant Lip Crayons? Would you go for golden lips?!
