It has been a while since I really mentioned my beauty package all the way from New York. The reason for that is that I have way too much stuff. I need to stop buying new makeup.. unless there is something really special about it (oh dear... I see all the exceptions coming..), but I have finally come around to two products that I got from NY!
Wet n Wild is not widely available in stores in Belgium, as far as I know, so I am always more than interested in trying out their products. The makeup brand comes from Los Angeles and covers face and nail cosmetics. My cousin was so kind to send me two nail polishes by Wet n Wild from the "Wild Shine" collection, which includes a "wide range of trendsetting shades from rich cremes to bold metallics to vibrant effects". The two shades I got were: Dream Poppy and Sparked.
The nail polishes from the "Wild Shine" collection come in a see-through bottle with a grey/silver cap on top. As you can see the nail polishes come with a completely regular brush. The nail polish itself it quite watery and the brush applies the polish easily to the nails. The extremely pink "Dreamy Poppy" is a very girly shade and shines bright on the nails. It is not a usual shade of pink, but has something to it, so I really like this color! Then there's "Sparked" which basically is a transparant nail polish with silver-pink sparkles (hence the name). I think it looks nicer in the bottle than it does on the nails, but I am very critical with glitters that are more penetrable and less dense. If you know what I mean?!
After trying out both colors, I came to the conclusion that I really like "Dream Poppy" but quite dislike "Sparked". I combined the two colors together just to give you a quick idea of what the colors look like. Surely "Sparked" looks less pretty in comparison to "Dream Poppy", so it may be an unfair comparison or combination to make. What I liked a lot is that the pink nail polishes stayed on my nails perfectly fine for at least four days, after that they slowly started chipping. I have used two layers of both products on my nails, so that is the amount of glitters you get with two layers! Perhaps it will work better with different colors! What do you think? It is worth mentioning that the nail polishes are formaldehyde, toluene and phthalate free! Another great thing about the Wet n Wild nail polishes is that they are very affordable (like most of the products) and you can get one for about €6 for a bottle containing 0.43 fl. oz./12.7 ml of product! What do you think of these pink shades? Have you tried Wet n Wild nail polish already?
