When I read that there would be a bloggers meeting after the exams, I thought that would be a great way to meet more bloggers from all walks of life. It was such a fun day, despite the bad weather, so I would really like to give you a quick look into our day...
We met up at the Central Station of Antwerp at 12 o'clock in the afternoon. When I had arrived there my feet were already soaking wet from my broken army boots (it is about time to get new ones) and all the raining that had been going on, but I was still excited to see a group of girls standing around. It is always a bit exciting meeting new people, right? I think things went pretty smoothly and everyone was quite chatty and curious about one another, so that made it a lot easier! The first thing we did was go to "The Chocolate Box", which is a wonderful and cute little place where you can get inexpensive break, brunch and lunch meals or just enjoy some sweets, many teas or a yummy milkshake. I have actually written about it before, click here to get an extensive review of a must-visit location in Antwerp!

Above are one of the firsts of many photos that were taken that day. The bloggers came from all over Belgium and all had quite different niches, for example.. beauty, fashion, lifestyle, or a mixture of many things! It was a lot of fun getting to know them.. and really hard remembering everyone's names! Do you also have problems with that? I hope I am not the only one. After our lunch we went towards the Kaaien of Antwerp, where we had a beautiful view of the river the Scheldt and a lot of wind in our hair. Then we went into the "Voetgangerstunnel", which is a tunnel underneath the river and it was really cool to go there. I mean, you can take so many beautiful pictures there... and that is what my fellow bloggers did.. a lot!!

Having spent so much time outside with the rainy and windy weather, we decided it was time for a quick stop to drink something warm and heat up. Everyone got a yummy looking coffee (mainly lattes), hot chocolates or tea... but I went for a coca cola, because it was really warm inside "The School of Life" and I could use the caffeine. This place is very interesting, because it did not look so appealing from the outside (and no one was seated inside), but once inside it looked really cool. It is both a coffee place and a place of education. You will find loads of interesting books, just standing there, waiting to be read, about various topics, such as philosophy, sociology, literature, history.. and whatnot. Apparently, you can even take "How-To"-classes about life and participate in special events. It is definitely a place worth checking out when in Antwerp!

Having enjoyed our warm drinks (or my coca cola) we ventured outside again to visit and try MoMade Cupcakes. However, the cupcake tasting that was arranged did not take place, because there was a mix-up in the communication (alas, such things happen), but we took a box of delicious mini cupcakes with us and we decided to sit down in the beautiful Feestzaal of Antwerp to try them. I am not much of a sweet-tooth, so I do not necessarily get excited easily over desserts (though I strangely so do love baking them!) but then I tried the cupcake with sprinkles on top and (I think) cola essence inside.. but I could be way off!

The day ended around 5 o'clock while we were still seated in the Feestzaal.. just basically bumming around, chatting some more and watching people walk by. It was very laid-back and really nice to meet new people. As you can see, lots of pictures were taken.. even selfies! I do not think we managed to take one proper selfie with everyone on it! You know, it takes forever! I would like to mention and thank my fellow bloggers who attended the meeting: Ines, Melissa, Elodie, Karen, Claudia, Merel, Silke, Fobe and Jennifer! A special thanks to Ines and Melissa for organizing the meeting. It was really great to attend it. Have you ever attended a blogger meeting? Or a meeting with people who enjoy a similar interest?
