Royal Cosmetic Connections. Have you ever heard of this makeup brand? I surely have not. So when I was asked to try out the bronzing pearls, I was pretty intrigued. I have not tried many bronzing pearls yet and they were brownish (a color I am interested in), so why not?!
I am unable to find a lot of information on Royal Cosmetics. It appears to be a UK-based company that can be bought in European markets. It claims to sell quality products at competitive prices. I admit that the prices are pretty cheap (you can find them at Big Bazar), but they do not scream high quality to me. Though the latter is ok, if a product is really inexpensive. It is all relative, so let us see how good it really is.
The bronzing pearls come in a plastic see-through holder with a bronze-colored cap on top. I think it looks pretty simple. It actually reminds me a bit of some of the products by L'Oréal... do you get the same vibe? I can't explain it, though. The top comes off quite easily and you will find a sponge in there. I suppose you can use the sponge for application but it is circle-shaped (like its holder) so I think it is rather inconvenient to use a circle-shaped sponge to apply bronzer/blush. I think it is probably in there to hold the pearls in place, so I really would suggest you get a nice brush for this!
The bronzing pearls basically are small balls varying in color (from light pinkish-brown to dark chocolate brown) and size with glitters in them. Even though the colors vary a lot, the swatch seems to give off a nice color that sort of unifies the shades into a pinkish-brown color with golden shimmers. At least on my skin tone. What the swatch also shows is that a lot of color comes off with just one simple swatch (the one on the right) and once you blend it out you get a more natural glow (the swatch on the left), still it is quite shimmery for a bronzer.. so keep that in mind!

You only need a little bit of the bronzing pearls for a lot of color, so definitely be careful.. otherwise you may end up looking like an Oompa Loompa. Surely, that is not the look you are going for?! You can layer the colors really well. When used subtly, this bronzer adds warmth and shine to your cheeks so I definitely love that. I am pretty surprised with the longevity of this product, because it has stayed on through out my day looks. I think all of that is pretty a-ok for such an inexpensive budget product! The only real downsides are that the package may appear cheap and that the bronzing pearls are not that pretty in its holder, but it looks pretty darn good on skin. Oh wait. No. A big downside is that this product contains parabens. Big downside, actually. Other than that, I am really pleased with it. I'm not sure about the exact price, but online it seems to only cost a couple of euros (literally, 2 or 3 euros) for 50 grams of product, so if you are in need of nice, and more importantly, budget bronzing pearls.. then this one by Royal Cosmetics Connections may be something for you! What do you think?
