Surely you are busy celebrating your free time with your family and friends. Eating lots of "oliebollen" or whatever else is the custom in your country. Or you are more like me, and you just treat New Year's Eve as a regular day. I am not a huge fan of the fireworks, but it sure is a good excuse to be eating lots of food. Yup!
Once a year I can convince my parents, boyfriend and sister (though she does not need any convincing) to do "gourmetten" instead of a regular dinner. You basically have a grill pan with mini pans placed in the middle of the table and you prepare your food whilst seated there. This is a really Dutch thing to do and since I did not grow up with this tradition... I became an immediate fan once I discovered it. It is just so much fun to basically play with your food and then eat it right away.

My boyfriend and I have a nice jar filled with out favorite 2014 memories, so we will be going through those as well. It is a nice way to look back at a year, because at times it can be hard to remember all the good stuff! Well, those are my plans for tonight. Then I will just stare outside and look at all the fireworks whilst being comfortably indoors away from the dangers. What will you be doing today and tonight? Have you got anything special planned? Whatever you are doing.. I would like to wish you a Happy New Year!!
