The lovely Melissa and I decided to do a fun collaboration together, namely playing with make up and creating beauty looks! I could not be more excited! Our first challenge was to create a wearable Christmas Beauty Look... so click ahead!
I actually was not planning on doing any beauty looks for Christmas this year, because I am super busy right now and I did three totally different looks last year, but the collaboration really made me excited for it, so I made some time for it and I actually went outside all day with this look. People kept staring.. but trust me, it is definitely wearable, haha!
Though it may be wearable, it should also be glamorous and related to Christmas. This is how I came up with red glitter lips! This was the most important aspect of my look. I wanted all the attention to go to my lips.. and trust me, it sure did! My red sparkling lips reminded me of Christmas decoration and they really lasted all day, so it is very wearable and quite glamorous.

To add to the glamour, but to keep it a bit simple as well, I created a simple and soft smokey eye with a nude eyeshadow all over my lid, some extremely subtle sparkles in the middle and a dark green shade softly applied in my crease. To glam it up I added a really thick cat-eye that stretched closer to my eyebrows, than I normally would. It instantly looked classy to me whilst not taking away any attention from the lips. If the eyeliner is a bit too much for you, you can always make a thinner or shorter one! I think this Christmas Beauty Look is so classy and glamorous at the same time, so I am really happy with it! My lips survived food and dinner (though you have to be a bit careful), so you can definitely wear this to a dinner party for Christmas or just look stunning at a Christmas party where there only is finger food! You will surely catch everyone's eye with such sparkling lips! Click for the tutorial!
Now it is time to take a look at Melissa's Christmas Beauty Look. She used the three colors she associated most with Christmas, namely gold, red and green! So, she combined the gold and green on her eyes and went for soft and subtle red lips! We used quite similar colors.. so I am very excited to see her result and to see how she kept it glam but wearable. Are you too?
What do you think of our Christmas Beauty Looks for 2014?! Is it something you would like to wear yourself? Tell me your thoughts...
