|Eline and Inez bring out the silliness in me.|
With all the Press Days going on, there was a really fun one in the bunch. Luxottica: all about eyewear. I may not need glasses, but I sure do love wearing them because they can create a whole new look, so I was really excited about discovering the upcoming collections by the big brands!
Several tables were set up with both glasses and sunglasses and I immediately started trying them out. Lots of silly pictures were taken (as the one above) and I do not think I have ever taken that many shameless selfies at an event before. I am really loving the cat-eye shape, so those caught my attention right away. Vogue has some very fun and flirty sunglasses coming up with sheer glasses and colorful frames. These remind me of summer and would be so much fun to play with!
Dolce & Gabbana always goes big and for their upcoming collection it is big in frame with jewelry on the sides of the sunglasses. It is quite beautiful, but the only thing I am thinking about is how that will get all twisted in my hair! Then there are these smaller cat-eye shaped glasses with animal print on the inside and a fun (or classic) color on the outside. Out of the many different types of eyewear, these really were my favorite. Emporio Armani is rocking it with this collection and I hope I can get my hands on them myself! Such beauties, right?!
If you are looking for something younger, fresher and hipper, then I really recommend the new collection by Ray-Ban! They are the classic square-shaped Wayfarer glasses that we have come to love, but in new wrapping. They almost look and feel like fabric! To me they are just so much fun and they come in many colors. What more can you ask for?!
As I said before, glasses can make so much difference and they can create a whole new look. I wanted to add two different glasses as an example for this. In the first photo I am wearing huge bee-like sunglasses by Dolce & Gabanna. Personally, I think it is a bit too big for my face, but it makes my face look longer - which is a good thing - and gives off a classy vibe. Whereas, on the second picture, the round glasses look all hip and fashionable. I have never worn sunglasses with round glasses before, but I am definitely feeling the folding pair by Ray-Ban! The same can be said with regular glasses.. they can create all kinds of looks, so to those who do need to wear prescription eyewear... own it! Well, on to your thoughts! What kind of (sun)glasses do you like? And which looks the best in this article?!
