When my parents and younger sister went to a wedding in New York (and I could not join because of exams...) I asked my sister if she could get me the Urban Decay Ocho Loco 2 24-7 Glide-On Eye Pencil Set. What a name. Despite the super long name and its lack of availability in Sephora she was still able to get her hands on one set. I will be eternally grateful.
You probably already know that Urban Decay is one of my favorite brands, especially when it comes to eyeshadows. I have the Book of Shadows 3, Naked 1, Naked 3 and Naked Basics. I never really ventured out to other products because it is not the cheapest brand.. but then one day I tried out an eyeliner and realized how beautiful it was. I would not really apply the word "beautiful" to an eyeliner, because I normally go for basic black. However, the colors by Urban Decay are so freaking intense and pigmented that I was convinced. It is worth my money!
The Loco 2 set has eight extremely long eyeliners that are all very buttery so smooth for application. The colors in this set are: Roach, Twice Baked, Crave, Perversion, Mars, Deep End, Ultraviolet and Tornado. I am loving all the names.. except for Roach, because.. you know a roach is an icky animal, so I would rather not associate that with something I put on my face. Oh well. I do love the other names and the colors look great from the get-go! The colors vary from brown, black, purple, blue and green. All exciting colors I would love to put on my eyelids or on my lower lash line!
In the Ocho Loco 2 set, you will also find a really square yellow pencil sharpener with two entry points, one for the eyeliners and another for something bigger, aye. It has the Urban Decay logo on it and its logo: "Beauty with an edge", which is why you get these amazing highly-pigmented colors.. and perhaps that is why they have names like "Roach".
Here are the swatches. I did two swipes next to each other of each color. I mean... is this not just mind blowing? I am just in love. In love, I tell you. I am not even sure if I am able to pick a favorite color because each one of them has their own kind of beauty and stands out to me. For example, Perversion. This is the blackest of the black eye pencil eyeliners I have ever seen. Deep End just screams mermaid! I can just look at this picture all day and swoon over these beauties.. The eyeliners last on your eyes all day (about 7-9 hours). You can wear it for work and may have to do a touch up if you are going partying at night! I want to dive into the colors some more in my next post, in which I will be wearing the eyeliner on my eyes. The Ocho Loco 2 set by Urban Decay is a limited edition but it can still be found at Macy's or online via e.g. Ebay. Its value of this set is $162, but it is sold for $59 (about €45) and trust me when I say that it is well worth it. Wow. What do you think of the eyeliners? Are you able to pick a favorite color?
