I love seeing posts that include bloggers copying a celebrities' beauty look. I have actually never done that, but I do see lovely make up all the time.. so I figured, instead of inventing a look myself.. I can copy one every now and then, and see how I do. See if I am any good at that!
If I am any good at it, then I can share it with you.. in case you love the look as well and would try it out too. I will provide you with an overview of the products I used and a short explanation to how I created it, but this will not be a "how-to" post. If you do want that, you can always request one!
My first "Copy The Look" will be of Olivia Munn who is absolutely gorgeous. She is wearing dark grey/soft black and purple on her eyes, a soft pink on her cheeks and lips, and golden highlighter on her cheekbones. All the pinkness in her face made me think of Pink Glory. Hence, the name. I do not contour, so I will do my best creating the same look as hers but adapted to my face (skin tone and shape). However, I will not try to look like her. Get the difference? It is like going to a hairdresser with a hairstyle of a celebrity you like.. It might work wonders for that person, but can look like crap on you if not changed to your face shape and hair type!
Well, this is what I was able to come up with. I am first showing you the close up because in the full-face pictures, you will not be able to see the blush clearly. As you can see on the right, I applied a warm pink blush. I was doubting about using a more coral-like blush, but the blush I ended up with was "Memorable" by Tarte Cosmetics. I have a soft black with grey glitters on my upper eyelid from my Sephora Palette and purple-pink hues on my lower lash line, for which I used #62 and #71 from my ELF palette and "buzz" from my Naked 3 palette. I was not able to find an exact match to the lipstick she was wearing so I went for one of my softest pink ones (Amaraché by MDMflow) with some lipgloss over it.
Here's the end result. If you want a how-to on it, feel free to request it below. Like I said, I couldn't get the blush to show clearly on the full-face pictures, but it was there, just more subtly.. like the highlighter is a bit more subtle too. I'm still unsure about how well I've done with my first attempt of copying a look on myself, so I will leave that up to you. I would love to hear what you think and what I could possibly improve. Other than that, I am very happy with the look as it is something that I would not have created myself that quickly, so I got to do something different. What do you think of Olivia Munn's make up? Would you copy this look too?!
