BE Creative Make Up is a beauty brand that has not been around for a long time. BE only works with professional make up artists to ensure top-notch products at an affordable price and you will only find it at Ici Paris XL in Europe (the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxemburg and Germany). I have very often tested their products when roaming around in ICI Paris XL. I am quite excited about their lipsticks, but never tried their eyeshadows.. until now. I had the opportunity to try out the Paradise Quad, an eyeshadow palette with four colors in it, and was eager to share them with you.
The Paradise Quad comes in a beautiful square box that makes you wish you were on that not-completely-deserted island where you can relax in a hammock underneath palmtrees on a white beach with crystal clear water..., but I digress. The palette itself is black, looks quite simple and feels smooth. It has a yellow, green, orange and blue eyeshadow. Honestly, had the colors been slightly different it would have made my association with Piet Mondriaan even stronger! I absolutely do not mind, though, because the colors look beautiful. Each color contains pearls and mineralized pigment, which probably makes them feel soft to the touch.
It is worth mentioning that none of BE Creative Make Up contains any parabens, so these eyeshadows do not either. The yellow eyeshadow is a lot less brighter on me than I had expected. It feels like there is a lot of white in there and the pearls give off a vibrant shimmer. The green eyeshadow I found a bit disappointing. It looks more white than it does green, which is a pity because the green in the quad is just so pretty and soft. The orange eyeshadow is better pigmented and has a warm golden shimmer in there. Then there's the blue eyeshadow. It is my favorite eyeshadow out of the four when I only judge the swatch. The cool shimmer is very clear in here because it gives off a silver-like glow.
The colors were pretty easy to apply to the eyelids with my brushes. I applied yellow in the inner-V, green towards the upper lash line, orange in the crease and blue on the lower lash line. The colors blended quite easily too, as you can see with the yellow going into the orange.. it allows for this beautiful sunset-like colors. There was barely any fall-out, which is great when you are dealing with bright colors! I did not use a primer underneath so these are the colors at their natural (above zoomed in and below how it looked on me). It also meant that the colors started to fade a bit after about 4 hours, so I do recommend using a primer underneath.
BE Creative Make Up offers six different types of eyeshadow squads, each are available for about €18, exclusively sold at Ici Paris XL. You can use the Paradise Squad for a fun night out, when trying to get in the summer vibe or, you know, when you are on a tropical island... you lucky bastard! Your turn! Have you ever heard/tried anything by BE Creative Make Up? And would you not rather be on that tropical island too...?!
