Last time I showed you my red toned nail polishes by Essie, which are perfect for a holiday like Christmas or Valentine's Day (or any other occasion you desire) and today I would like to show you my blue toned nail polishes.
If you remember correctly (do not worry, I do not expect you to) then you will know my younger sister bought these pretties for me from the Big Bazar in the Netherlands. Another wise choice by her, do you not agree? The two blue toned nail polishes have quite funny names too. I am not sure if there is an actual link with the color, because I can not think of anything. Perhaps, it is linked to "blue blood", which means people of aristocratic descent (so, you know.. rich folks). Why do I think this? Well, the names seem quite demanding and like they (not actually the polish, but a person who would say this) can afford themselves a chauffeur of butler. Am I still making sense?
I am sure you catch my drift. Where's My Chauffeur is a beautiful turquoise mermaid-like color. I think the color looks really nice and is really nice for spring and definitely for summer. It instantly reminds me of those beautiful blue waters with white beaches that I can only dream about. I decided to combine the nail polishes by adding an accent nail like I did in the red toned nail polishes.
Now this shade of blue comes closer to what we know as "Royal Blue" and with a name as Butler Please, you can definitely see why it oozes class. Indoors the color becomes a deeper and darker blue but in direct contact with daylight you will notice that it has a soft glow to it. I like the combination of this color better with Where's My Chauffeur as an accent nail. Which do you prefer?
Both polishes, when applied, were more watery than expected. Still the application was fairly easy and a lot of product came off the brush. However, because it was a bit watery I needed a second layer of application to get the results you can see above. I believe that if I move it around enough that the product would mix better resulting in less watery nail polish. The nail polishes stayed on without chapping for at least three to four days (my hands have busy lives) and they were very easy to remove. I do love both colors, but if I had to choose.. I would go for Where's My Chauffeur because that color stands out more; plus, it reminds me of some exotic resort. Click for more information on Butler Please and Where's My Chauffeur. What do you think? Which color do you prefer? And would you wear these accent nails as well?
