The Tarte of Giving | Beauty Looks

Tarte Cosmetics

We have arrived to the final post about "The Tarte of Giving" beauty travel bag, and I figured because the last couple of posts I had so much swatching and testing to do, that I would save some full face pictures of me with the products on until the last post. Click ahead to find out what I created!

I went for four make up looks based on the four groups of the Amazonian Clay Eyeshadow Palette, so the main colors you will be able to find in my eyes. I thought about what I could do with the make up looks, especially when you are traveling. The first look would be perfect for a night out going for drinks or clubbing in that hot spot on your favorite island (something I have never done, btw, have you?). For this look I used blue and grey-toned colors and you will clearly find this in my eyes. I applied Kim's Porcelain Doll (the light blue) to the inner corner of my eye and let it go on my base a bit more than I would normally do, then I added a bit of dark blue on the middle of my eyelid. On the outer corner I added dark grey and a metallic silver. This is a very heavy look for me, because I lined the dark eyeshadow completely on my lower lash line, which really makes my eyes optically bigger (and well heavier). I also used "Memorable" a pink-toned Amazonian Clay Blush and "Ro" a nude Maracuja lip gloss. I should not forget to mention that I am wearing the Lights, Camera, Lashes mascara and a black eyeliner by Sephora.

The second group of colors had lots of grey-brown toned eyeshadows, some golden and dark green ones, so I wanted to go for a colorful but lighter look than the previous one. I imagine this look could work for a nice dinner (or you know, whatever!). I applied the golden shade on my inner corner and all over my eyelid. Then I added some dark green on my outer-V and some brown in my crease and on my lower lash line. Brown shades with my skin color tends to blend well making my eyes look soft, which is why I went for a brighter lipgloss, called "Finn". I added a soft glow to my cheeks with the Flush Cheek Stain (the pink bits on my cheek is just my rosacea) and applied the Lights, Camera, Lashes mascara by Tarte Cosmetics.

For my third look I was afraid the pink-toned colors would be too light for me, but it ended up being just fine. I started off with Steph's Pearl (the lightest color) in the group then applied the shimmery pink on the middle of my eyelid, smearing it out towards both right and left. With just a bit of Meredith's Hula Hoop in the outer-V and Sam's Ice Skates in my crease I started blending it all together. On my lower lash line I a soft ombre line from purple to shimmery pink to the highlighter. I used  the "Memorable" a pink-toned Amazonian Clay Blush again, but applied a whole lot less than in the first look and added Spence (a coral-pink lipgloss) to my lips. I should not forget to mention the Lights, Camera, Lashes mascara.

My final look is based on earthy brown colors that looks very soft on my face, so this would be perfect for a simple day-time look whilst sightseeing, going shopping and whatever fun you can have. I applied Daniel's Teddy Bear (a clay-like color) all over my base and added an earthy brown and coffee brown in my crease, just messily and blending it out softly. I did not want this to be perfect, just simple. Just some color in the crease to deepen a soft look. I also added the base color on my lower lash line and in my inner-V I added a nude eyeshadow to make my eyes pop a bit. On my cheeks I applied the Flush Cheek Stain and as you can see it really does give off a soft and healthy glow. On my lips I am wearing "Sully" a very soft berry colored Maracuja lip gloss. As an eyeliner I am wearing Zoeva's creamy eyeliner called "Secret Garden" and the Lights, Camera, Lashes mascara by Tarte Cosmetics.

Tarte Cosmetics

That wraps up this week and my posts on Tarte Cosmetics. Have you noticed a connection between all of the products from the last couple of days? I certainly have! They all seem to have vegan ingredients that come from the Amazone! It is either Maracuja or Amazonian Clay, now how cool is that? The items have many other nourishing and skin-friendly ingredients that are there to keep our skin balanced. I find it very impressive that Tarte Cosmetics really aims to provide their customers with vegan and "healthy" beauty products that also are of great quality and are generally long lasting. No wonder there is a bit of a price tag on these products, but can you blame them? I mean, look at the ingredient list! It is so exotic and it actually has an amazing effect. I have clearly become a Tarte Cosmetics fan over the last two weeks and I look forward to using their products and buying more in the future. What about you? After having seen it all, what did you like the most? What would you like to get yourself?

    1. Thank you, Shayne! Ha, I guess we all look at ourselves in a different light. I for one mainly notice the brown coloring next to my iris for example. But thank you kindly :) I am sure your eyes look lovely in close-up as much as they do in a full-face picture! x
