Naughty Strawberry | Look #2

And continuing on with the different looks that I could make with my four new Color Infallible Eyeshadows by L'oreal; so now I have created a second look for you all. For the second look I have used "Naughty Strawberry" as my main color of inspiration. Click ahead to see my tutorial and full face pictures.

Remember the first look I created? I had used a very bright blue and this time I used a seriously bright pink color! I got so inspired that I had to decide between three different looks with "Naughty Strawberry" but I ended up combining it with black and grey eyeshadows.

Step-by-step tutorial:
  1. Start out by prepping your eye as you would usually do. I do this by having clean eyes and then applying a bit of primer to them. After that I applied "Coconut Shake" (a beige Color Infallible Eyeshadow) to the inner corners of my eyes and I really added a lot and I did it very messily, because I will blend it out later on. So be daring!
  2. Then I did the same with "Naughty Strawberry". I applied this with a wet brush so the color became insanely bright as you can see on the second picture. It made me really excited! Just brush it out all over your eyelid.
  3. Here it becomes a bit trickier. First I applied "Noir" from my Bad Girl Palette to the outer-V of my eyelids and did this by creating a V, then with the upper line I went into my crease. Do this softly, because "Noir" is really pigmented. I quickly blended this out, softening the color. Then I repeated the same motion with "Gun Metal" from the same palette but using less eyeshadow. Blend it all out so the colors merge a bit.
  4. Do not forget the lower bit of your eyes and add your concealer, then apply "Gun Metal" to your lower lash line. If you want you can add a white eyeliner to your lower waterline. Make sure you created a clean V-shape towards the outer part of your eyelids. If you have trouble doing this you can use adhesive tape (but stick it to your hand a couple of times, so the stickiness wears off a bit) by applying it below your lower lash line.
  5. Apply black eyeliner and mascara. I used High Definition Mascara by NYC and a liquid eyeliner by Sephora. And that is all... if there are doubts, feel free to get in touch with me!

Here are my full face pictures of the second look. The zoomed in photo on the left was taken with outdoor light and the picture on the right was taken indoors. Though it might look a bit soft and subtle on the pictures, trust me when I say the pink was still really bright.. though softer than on picture two from the photo tutorial above. I normally do not use lots of pink on my eyes, and surely this will not become a daily look (because it is so bright) but I did love it! I do love it! After I applied the eyeliner and mascara this look really came together well and I was so happy with it. What about you? Do you approve as well? Do you wear pink on your eyes often?

    1. I'm glad you do ^^ ik realiseerde me wel dat deze kleuren ook ongeveer terug komen in een Sephora palette die ik jaren geleden heb gekocht.. daar zal mijn inspiratie dan wel van zijn gekomen haha.

  4. 3rd step is where my look falls apart. I can do the first and the second but doing a V at the outer corner, i need a make up artist for that LOL!!! I have watched so many YT videos but still struggle. How do you guys do it??

I love the colour combination, grey against bright pink looks really good. I might give it a try, hopefully it will turn out like you.

I love your lashes, they are so long...Jealous xxx

    1. Hi Naaj! Hm, well the 3rd step probably is the hardest because precision is needed. Have you ever tried applying it with adhesive tape as mentioned in my article? If that didn't work for you, you could try using an eyeliner brush to make a straight line (don't forget to blend it out afterwards). The line may be too high or too low, but by trying you learn what works for your eyeshape and overall face. So just keep practicing... and it doesn't have to be perfect!

Perhaps I could do a photo tutorial on how to create it.. when I've some time left :) Thank you, I am really glad you like it! The grey definitely makes sure that this look doesn't become too heavy :) Definitely try and share a picture with me.. if things went wrong I'd like to help out! Good luck!xxx

    2. No I haven't tried with a tape. I will make notes of your suggestions. It will definitely go wrong, i can guarantee you that (that is how confident I am :D)

Photo tutorial will be great. I am crap when it comes to make up but i try my best not to look like a clown

Thank you so much Natasja xx

    3. well, the tape can help out big time for clean looks.. though I am not a big fan of it being too "clean" so I would blend the V-line until it becomes soft! Hm, I really hope it works out. Keep me updated, and you're very welcome :)

  5. Heel gaaf! Ik draag nooit roze op mijn oogleden, vind ik mezelf net te wit voor. Paars daarentegen vind ik wel erg tof. X

  7. I wear pink all the time actually. I know a lot of women are afraid but the trick is to use shimmery, pearly or sparkly shades and mute them down with a more neutral crease shades. Matte pink shades can look like a pink eye!

I like the look that you did. L'oreal also have an orchid color shade in their current shades that is calling my name, even though as you know I'm not crazy about the formula.

    1. It's defintely not a color I grab for often, but it can surely look amazing. I think I have a matte hot pink one, haha. That one works for me as well, because it's so bright.. but yeah, we want to avoid pink eye! Thanks for the compliment :) I look forward to seeing that orchid color on you!

  21. Uuuuh! I like this one better, you natural beauty, you! I don't know how you managed to do this great look, I've always had bad luck with L'Oreal eyeshadows and they never look even close to what they are in the commercial or packaging.

    1. Thank you so much, Maria! I'm glad you like it ^^ Oh, I actually like how the structure.. though I realized that the pink color breaks easily when touching it with a brush... adding water to the brush solved that problem.. and I think primer and lots of blending made this look possible :)

  31. So beautiful! I would love to be able to make my eyes look like this. For some reason, when I use light colors on my eyes, when I take a picture, my eyes look like they're closed! LOL! Thanks for linking up with Countdown in Style!

  32. The lighting situation you explained is exactly the dilemma I had when I did my post for the lip tar and lipstick I tried out. I wish I could have taken the pictures with the natural outdoor lighting but my husband had to do it and he wasn't home until the evening. :( Your close up photos show really well the different contrast of colors. I think it's so lovely. Thanks so much for sharing with us at Countdown in Style! Don't forget to stop by Friday to see if you are featured :)
