Zoeva Cream Eyeliners

I was in dire need of new make-up brushes and I had read great things of Zoeva brushes, so I decided to have a look at their website. There I discovered lovely things among others my new brushes and a trio of green-blue toned cream eyeliners. I have liquid and gel eyeliners, but I did not have many cream eyeliners yet, so I really wanted to know what these were like. Time to find out!

Zoeva is a German cosmetic company and was created in 2008 (so it is quite a "young" company) and their first products were the famous brushes. Since 2013 they ship internationally too, so if you like the products you are in luck! They aim to bring beauty and color into a woman's life and are inspired by fashion, music and traveling. I wanted more colorful eyeliners, because I usually tend to stick to black, which works perfectly for me.. but it was time to be a bit more adventurous.

These are the three colors I chose: Jardin, Secret Garden and Exotique. All inspired by nature's gardens and I like green-toned eye products on me so I knew it would work. When testing the colors with my eyeliner brush (by Zoeva) I noticed just how creamy they were. I placed my brush in one pot and I noticed how much cream it took with it, so I had to be a bit more careful with the second swatch. I love this, because it means you only need a tiny bit to get a good pigmented swatch. So, you will not run out of the product quickly! I also noticed it is much (much, much, much) softer than a gel eyeliner.

Secret Garden is the greenest of them all, coming close to a metallic olive green color with a golden shimmer in it. This color is very subtle on my medium skin color, but gives off a bit of shine. It would be great to use this with a black eyeliner so you notice the contrast on my skin. But I might try a couple of different looks with this one, including a simple line as seen below.

Then we have Jardin (french for garden), which is a more green-blue toned color, though Zoeva describes it as "an emeral between moss and leaf-green with light shimmer", it is quite a fancy description, but then again, it is a fancy color. The shimmer is not golden, but not very silvery either.. it just seems to give off a cool shimmer that deepens the blue. I love it on my eyes and I really have a hard time deciding whether it is more green or blue on my eyes haha.

Last but not least, Exotique does its name service as this is not a typical color one would find in a garden. The most blue toned and least shimmery of all three, this turquoise-like color is deep and intense, and brings so much color to my eyes. This may be my favorite one. I am not completely sure yet.

The cream eyeliners are fragrance-free and stay on for a really long time and you need a waterproof make-up remover to remove it, otherwise it just won't go away! Another big plus in my book. They apply easily with an eye-brush or eyeliner brush and you only need a little bit to give you a lot of pigment. The eyeliners are each €6,20 or you can buy the trio together for €13,50 (if you have a different currency, then click on the link and change the currency)! My apologies if the pictures are a bit unclear, there wasn't sufficient light so I had to work with what I had. What do you think of the Zoeva cream eyeliners? Ever heard of the brand before? And are you a fan of cream eyeliners?

  10. I'm digging all three, particularly Secret Garden! I have a real weakness for green! I use gel liners 99% of the time, because they stay put all day, and I find it easier to create a wing!

    1. I'm glad you like them! Though, I should point out, that these have stayed on all day! The only way I could remove them was with a waterproof make-up remover. But it *is* easier to make a good wing with a gel liner.
