It is almost time for Christmas and most of you will surely be spending time with your loved ones, be it family and/or friends. I certainly hope it will be a joyous time for you all and not something stressful or forced. For me and my family, it is just a reason for us all to be together, eat food and open gifts. If that is not reason enough to be festive, then I do not know! To take away some of the stress, I created some easy beauty looks you could go for that were inspired by this holiday!
When I think of Christmas colors red, gold, green and silver come to my mind rightaway! So, these are the colors I am working with in this post. I tried to create three different beauty looks for you, but it was limited to the eyes. Putting on green lipstick is rather strange for Christmas (or any other pragmatic occassion), unless you are dressing up. Well, let's quickly have a look at my simple creations.
Look # 1
I am not a fan of wearing red on your eyes, because it tends to make you look ill or like you have some sort of weird rash on your eyes. So, I really had to think about how I was going to create this look. Because I am not a fan of red eyeshadows, I obviously do not have a lot of them. I did find this one beautiful dark red-brown toned eyeshadow and decided to use that one. Because the eyes are quite colorful, I wanted to keep the lips soft and sweet, and the same goes for the cheeks. Please forgive me, it was quite dark when I took the pictures for this look (see the full picture later on).
Look # 2
I wanted to create a classy and very wearable look that was still a bit dramatic, so I went for burgundy lips and brown-toned eyeshadows (remember my post about beauty items I love for the colder seasons?). I think it is a very wearable look, but the glitter eyeshadow and natural sparkles in the other eyeshadow really stand out.
Look # 3
My final look, which was the quickest. I just combined eyeliners together. I chose green together with black eyeliner. I do this on regular days too, when I feel like changing it up, but I felt that it went perfectly fine with the Christmas theme as well. If you'd like to know more about the products I used, click here to read my review. I added a bit of shimmer as a base; just to make it a bit more special. I combined this with a bright orange lipstick.

3: liquid eyeliner "black" by Sephora
Here are all the looks together. Forgive me for the difference in the lighting. I took the photos on different days at different times, but I hope all the pictures are clear enough. As you can see my smile (apparently) grew from look 1 all the way to look 3! I think the second look is the classiest one, the third is the most playful one and the first I can't place yet. What do you think?
If you love a white Christmas, you could try to create a frosty look! I did not attempt that for this post, because I do not have that many frosty colors.. and I wonder if that would suit my skin tone! Well, these were the three looks I wanted to share with you. I hope I was able to inspire you a bit and if you are going to create a look yourself, do share them with me on twitter, instagram or facebook! What do you come up with when you combine beauty + christmas? And which look is your favorite? Merry Christmas!
