It may have taken me some time but I can finally cross another goal off of my Quarter Life Bucket List: "go on a road trip"! Yes, it has happened! I went on a road trip from Belgium to Luxembourg, luckily it wasn't a long drive and we left the bad weather in Belgium behind when we went to Luxembourg and we did the same when we came back to Belgium! We were so fortunate.
I won't bore you too much with my stories, so let's keep it simple and sweet. We only stayed for 2 days, walked around a lot, enjoyed the crazy heat, ate a lot of food and drank a lot of drinks. Luxembourg is such a clean city and has so much nature. It's amazingly green, I really loved it. The ride itself was quite beautiful too, though the very steep hills were a tad bit scary.
The people we met were friendly and it was interesting to hear the different languages there. They spoke some sort of German and French but it sounded like nothing that I was familiar with, so that was really cool! It almost felt like really being in some faraway land, haha. Almost! I'm happy I got to cross this off of my QL Bucket List and I look forward to doing more road trips with close destinations. For destinations that are far away, I'd rather fly! Especially during the summer when so many others are taking the car to their country of choice.
How do you feel about this? Do you prefer traveling by car or plane? What was your favorite road trip?
