A short while ago I posted my first make-up review. I tested 4 inexpensive lipsticks by E.L.F. Now, I did not just buy their lipsticks but I also bought their 100 piece marble eyeshadow palette, which I was very curious about. Here's what I thought of it..
This was the first time that I had bought products by Eyes Lips Face so I was a bit apprehensive about whether such inexpensive products would work well. When I saw the 100 Piece Marble Eyeshadow palette I was quite surprised with how pretty the package was. I think the loose powder on the package makes it look artsy but classy, so that was a good first introduction.
The palette is quite simple looking but definitely does the trick. It presents the colors well but I thought it was a bit of a pity that with some colors you could see the sides of the pan. I am probably just being a nitpick - Don't mind me! There are so many colors so this will make the taking of swatches quite a challenge.. I just had to pick a 100 piece palette. Here it goes....
From top to bottom
fave colors: 4 & 5
fave colors: 15, 16 & 17
fave colors: 21, 23, 25, 28
fave colors: almost all
fave colors: all the shimmery ones
fave colors: all.. I love green
fave colors: 62, 64, 66, 67, 68 and 69
fave colors: 73 and 76
fave colors: 81, 82, 83, 84, 87 and 88
fave colors: 93, 94, 95, 96
And I am done... hallelujah. Some general remarks: the matt and/or lighter (nude) colors give less pigment so need more layers, which is why I had to add a second layer. The shimmery (and darker) eyeshadows can be quite crumbled so that's something to keep in mind as well. However, all in all I am quite pleased with the eyeshadow palette, especially the shimmery colors are great! So, I can't wait to start playing around with the different pieces.
The 100 piece marble eyeshadow palette only costs €12 in the Netherlands and Belgium and currently $10 in the USA. If you're interested, you can buy it here: for the dutch, the flemish & english speakers.
What do you think about the palette? And what are your favorite colors?
